Joey Pearson was born and raised in the Evansville / Newburgh area.  He graduated from Castle High School in Newburgh in 2008.  He began attending church at age 16 and was saved shortly after on August 27, 2006.  He has previously served at Maranatha Baptist Church as the youth director and an office administrator.  He received his bachelor's degree in Theology from Southern Indiana Baptist College in May 2014.

     Bro. Joey was voted in as the 5th pastor of MBC in late December 2016, and preached his first message as the pastor on January 1st, 2017.  He counts it an honor to serve the Lord alongside the good people of MBC Newburgh.

     Bro. Joey married his high-school sweetheart, Ms. Laura Boyer, on September 24th, 2010.  They have two sons: Peyton Randal (born on January 22, 2014) and Andrew Michael (born on May 12, 2016).  Serving God is his passion, but Bro. Joey also enjoys family getaways, nature walks, and a wide variety of sports.
